A gallery of MT-FIMMPROP simulations
Examples
Some devices that are now possible nativly within the MT-FIMMPROP environment

Ring Resonator
The FULL Ring Resonator can now be simulated in EigenMode Expansion. MT-FIMMPROP allows users to stitch together the ring coupler simulation with the decoupled ring to simulate the entire component. Find the input/ output coupling in seconds and create a spectral response with FIMMPROP’s parameter sweeps.

Delay Line
EME simulations increase in duration with the number of unique waveguide cross-sections in the device, not by the length of each section. This delay line is constructed from exclusively straight waveguides (one mode list) and constant curvature bends (one mode list) meaning it simulates in seconds despite being centimeters in optical path length.

MZI with Euler Bends
Despite being over 600 um long and 100 um across, MT-FIMMPROP can simulate this long arm MZI with ease on a standard desktop. Until now, simulations of this scale would require exporting components to a circuit simulator. Euler bends are used to minimise insertion loss.

Cascaded MMIs
MT-FIMMPROP can recycle simulation results when structures are repeated on the canvas. This set of cascaded MMIs goes from being 7 MMIs and 14 bend simulations to just a single MMI and 3 unique bends.
