Ring Resonators in MT-FIMMPROP

FIMMPROP has been able to simulate a ring coupler since 1998 but to simulate the full ring required this result to be exported to a circuit simulator (such as PICWave) to combine multiple results. MT-FIMMPROP can simulate the full ring resonator in a layout environment.

1. There is no compromise to simulation time in the MT-FIMMPROP environment compared to FIMMPROP, we utilise the same EME engine we’ve been perfecting since 1998.
2. Sub-Devices make expanding to the full ring resonator simulation efficient as results of ring couplers can be recycled.
3. A spectral response can be found using FIMMPROP’s native parameter sweep.
